Week Thirty: His Timing, Not Our Own

“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31

Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting on God is not passive resignation—it is active dependence! It means trusting His timing, seeking His presence, and refusing to run ahead in our own strength. The promise is that those who wait will be renewed.

We often grow weary because we carry burdens God never asked us to carry, or we try to force doors He has not opened. But when we come back to the Lord, He exchanges our exhaustion for His strength. He enables us to rise above, endure through, and keep moving forward.

If you feel depleted or stressed out today, follow the firefighters’ warning in a fire: Stop, drop, and roll! Pray, immersing yourself in the fireproof arms of the Lord! Sit before Him. Wait in prayer, worship, and surrender. His strength is always greater than your weariness!
