LOVE CAME DOWN
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – December 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
“God is love” is one of the most well-known statements in the Bible. But how is that love shown—especially in a world where humanity’s flaws are so evident? And honestly, do we even need Scripture to tell us we fall short? Our daily lives reveal the opposite of love: selfish desires, impatience, and pride. This gap between a perfect God who is love and our brokenness seems impossibly wide.
THE RESULTS ARE IN!

The evidence is undeniable. The Center for Bible Engagement surveyed over 400,000 people worldwide to measure the impact of Bible reading on life and behavior. Their findings? Those who engage with Scripture four or more times a week experience dramatically fewer struggles with anger, selfishness, loneliness, and discouragement.
FAITHFUL TO THE FINISH: Charlie Kirk’s Voice Still Speaks
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – October 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
The assassination of Charlie Kirk has shaken many hearts. Agree or disagree with him, no one should be killed for speaking their convictions. Yet, branded with tired slurs – “extremist,” “hateful,” “racist” (labels that didn’t fit him) – his death sparked vile celebrations online. Charlie’s offense? Speaking biblical morality and inviting honest debate: “Prove me wrong.” When discourse collapses into hatred, families bury fathers and husbands.
FINDING HOPE IN UNCERTAIN TIMES
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – September 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
We are living in a time of deep uncertainty. Political unrest, economic instability, wars and more wars, natural disasters, and the rise of division across communities can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or even hopeless. Add to that the disturbing increase in hostility toward people of faith – especially Christians around the world who face imprisonment, violence, and even death for their beliefs – and the weight can feel unbearable.
It’s no wonder many are asking: Where is hope to be found?
THE IMPACT OF SMALL THINGS
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – August 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
“Whoever is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much…” — Luke 16:10
We live in a world that celebrates big moments – viral videos, instant fame, trending stories. But more often, it’s the small, unnoticed things that leave the deepest impact.
WHAT IS TRUE FREEDOM?
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – July 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
In today’s world, freedom is often seen as doing whatever we want – making our own choices, living by our own rules, and expressing ourselves however we feel. But what if real freedom is something deeper?
GOD SPEAKS
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – June 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
In a world bursting with noise – buzzing phones, breaking news, blogs, reels, and endless scrolling – it’s easy to miss the one voice that actually matters. Yes, God’s! He has spoken through creation, through the prophets, and through His Son, Jesus, the ultimate Word of God! And He is still speaking today through His Word, the Bible!
THE FIRST BOOK A CHILD EVER READS
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – May 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
Jordan Peterson once said, “The mother is the first book the child reads and the last one he forgets.” Few statements better capture the lasting imprint a mother leaves on her child. From a child’s first lessons in love and discipline to faith and resilience, mothers are shaping hearts before any classroom ever does.
THE GREAT EXCHANGE: A Sacrifice of Love & Hope that Rises
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – April 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
Good Friday reminds us of sacrifice. Easter Sunday declares the triumph of hope – because the cross was not the end but the beginning of redemption. For many, sacrifice has been a source of pain rather than hope. You may have longed for love from a parent, spouse, friend, or mentor, only to be betrayed or abandoned or perhaps just discouraged by the confusion of this present culture. If you carry wounds from those who should have cared for you, know this: Jesus understands.
A RETURN TO COMMON SENSE
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – March 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
For centuries, the Bible has been the foundation of truth and morality, guiding societies toward justice, mercy, and human dignity. Yet, in recent decades, common sense has been increasingly abandoned in favor of ideologies contradicting the most self-evident truths.
ONE LIFE FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – February 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
America is in moral decline. Family breakdown mirrors ancient Israel during the Judges' era. Fatherlessness is rampant, and the younger generation is increasingly pagan. Yet, history shows that a single life can change the course of a nation.
HOW SHOULD WE LIVE TODAY?
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – January 2025, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
In 1976, Francis Schaeffer wrote a powerful book and created a documentary series called “How Should We Then Live?” In it, he explored the rise and fall of Western culture, tracing history from Ancient Rome to the 20th century. Schaeffer examined how science, philosophy, and religion have shaped our society.
JESUS: THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – December 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
Light is necessary to see. Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the Light of life." (John 8:12).
Jesus came as the Light to first expose humanity's depraved moral state. John 3:19-21 explains, "Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil." While the present culture dances to the tune of "follow your heart," Jesus exposes the darkness in the heart of humanity as desperately evil (Jeremiah 17:9), challenging us to confess and repent of sin and respond to His offer of grace.
A BIBLICAL FRAMEWORK
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – November 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
Many of America's founding fathers had a biblical worldview. Biblical principles guided the foundations of government, education, and business. They believed that people are inherently flawed by sin and fundamentally bent toward evil, even with a redemptive change of heart through the gospel. By understanding human nature, they knew people needed restraint by law and order, or society would descend into chaos. Therefore, we became a nation with checks and balances in government that no one person or group had complete power. And due to the influence of the Bible, America prospered and was generous like no other nation in history.
A CALL TO COMMITMENT
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – October 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
I recently started a new Midweek Series on the book of Proverbs and I can’t help but look back over my life and recall the many ways its wisdom has been like a father to me. Not having a father to raise me, or a mother for that matter, left me insecure and often hopeless in my adolescence.
Many children today are left without any real guidance at all. Overprotected in the real world, they stay inside being raised by technology. Underprotected in the virtual world, they have become prey to the ideologies brainwashing this generation. The virtual world is an easy escape from the hard work of commitment and relationships in the real world and the social media intended to “connect” us all has done inestimable damage in separating us.
NAVIGATING LIFE’S STORMS: Building on Solid Foundations
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – September 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
The expression "calm before the storm" describes a deceptive peace that comes before great turmoil. And to be prepared for storms ahead, Jesus shared a parable that offered much wisdom in this regard. He contrasted the foundations of two types of builders – the wise who built on the rock and the fool who built on the sand (Matthew 7:24-27). The fool is confident all will be well, with no need to reinforce the sand. The wise man, however, is unsure and double-checks to see if his house can withstand a hit and concludes the rock is necessary.
REDISCOVERING AMERICA’S FOUNDATION
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – August 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
George Washington, in his Farewell Address, highlighted the critical role of religion and morality in promoting national prosperity, quoting Proverbs 14:34: "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."
Today, America finds itself at a critical juncture, grappling with the dire consequences of moral decay and relativism. The recent attempt on former President Trump's life has starkly revealed a nation that was once founded on biblical principles, now struggling with widespread discord and a loss of moral direction. Our founding documents, far from being oppressive, celebrated each individual's inherent worth and dignity with a commitment to justice and virtue.
FREEDOM TO SOAR
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – July 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
There's a short story titled Mr. Yahweh's Kite, which, though seemingly for children, holds a great lesson for everyone.
We wrongly imagine freedom without a connection to God – but God is the one who made us and knows what will fulfill our ultimate purpose! You'll only flounder and suffer when you break the cords to your Creator.
BE STRONG & COURAGEOUS
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – June 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
In the face of the greater evils today, there is a need for more extraordinary courage. Whether antisemitism, abortion, or vulnerable and impressionable school children led down paths of confusion and chaos about their identity, we need the courage to speak the truth in love. Why did 32 million Christians not vote in the last election? Silence means consent! "To him who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin," James 4:17 states.
Get informed, stand up, and show up! Be strong and courageous! There are many depending on it!
THE MAKER OF ME
Living Stones Series: First Published in All Around Old Bridge Publication – May 2024, Pastor Lloyd Pulley
Read the biography of one of America’s greatest inventors, Thomas Edison, and you will realize the profound impact a mother can make. A poor student, Edison’s mother decided to homeschool him, and he attributed much of his success to her sacrifice and training. “My mother was the making of me. She was so true, so sure of me, and I felt I had someone to live for, someone I must not disappoint,” Edison shared.
