Week Four: Anchored in Christ

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb… The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” — Job 1:21

We live in a time that constantly pushes us to seek bigger, better, and more.  Job was one of the most richly blessed men of his day, yet when he suddenly lost everything, he was still able to say, “Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

Jesus taught that our treasure always reveals our heart. If our hearts are tied to the things of this world, we will find ourselves afraid of loss. But if our hearts are anchored in Christ and eternity, then—even in loss—we have everything to gain.
