Week Two: A New Creation

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Often, we can become weighed down by memories of past sins or regrets.  This is where the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17 meets and touches our weary souls. In Christ, we are not merely improved or patched up—we are made brand new!

Our past is no longer the most accurate representation of us. Old labels, old failures, old shame may replay in our minds. But Scripture declares something wonderfully freeing: old things have passed away. They no longer define you!

In Christ, you have new desires, a new direction, and fresh mercies every morning. Yes, the “old man” still tries to hang on, but by faith we can walk in the newness of life Jesus gives. God delights in new beginnings—and His work in you is far from over!
